ŽELEZNÁ RUDA
Železná Ruda is a mountain town lying at an altitude of 754 m in the valley of Řezná Stream. Thanks to its position between the mountain peaks it has ideal conditions for winter and summer tourism, for active rest and relaxation.
If you want to set off for Železná Ruda by car, then take the D5 motorway from Prague to Pilsen, from there you continue along the E 53 road through Klatovy going directly to Železná Ruda. If you want to travel by train, then Železná Ruda lies on the Klatovy – Železná Ruda – Alžbětín line. You must get off at the stop Železná Ruda. Alžbětín is the station on the Czech-German border. For Železná Ruda you must almost always change in Klatovy, from where the train departs several times a day. There are also buses for Železná Ruda, again, it is necessary to change in Klatovy.
