This much-visited town has plenty of possibilities for accommodation, from hotels to a number of small guest houses. Most are located right in the centre, a few minutes’ walk from the city’s dominant feature, the chateau and its grounds. Every year, at the turn of June and July when the town organises Smetana’s Litomyšl, a big music festival, interest in accommodation increases rapidly.
The Hotel Aplaus is right in the town centre, a short walk from the chateau. While the architecture is a reminder of the five hundred year history of the burgher houses, the modern design of the hotel offers its guests a unique experience and comfort.
